site, hidden in your pocket, or in a closed briefcase or handbag particularly
in a public place such as bus or train station.
Avoid using your mobile phone in parks or isolated places.
Never leave your phone unattended and
in public view, especially in your vehicle.
Property marking of your mobile phone
and sim locking are useful steps you can take in the fight against mobile
phone theft.
When using your phone, be aware of your
surroundings and the people around you.
Keep it with you at all times and do not leave it unattended.
Do not give your mobile phone to strangers
who ask to use it.
Useful information you should keep safe
Write down these details about your mobile
phone and keep them in a safe place, separate
from the phone.
Facia details/model details and your
phone number.
Pin number (the number you punch in to
unlock the phone)
Serial number IMEI number (the serial
number IMEI number, which is 15 digits long, can be found on most phones
by keying *#06# or by looking behind the battery.)
Always use your phone’s security
lock code or pin number.
